Upsets Change The Equation
Two upsets in this heat changed the equation for several teams. The unexpected but eagerly hoped for trouncing of the Darktower Slayers by the felonious Deathrow Posse has left the door ajar in the Blue Conference. This has put both the Posse and the Skrewballz in a position to take the Blue Conference Cup. In the Red conference the 1-3 Backwata Bashas took down the 2-3 Chaos Crushers in a grinding match that was decided by a Penalty Shoot-Out. Officials have proclaimed that this unprecedented use of the Shoot-Out rule is exceptionally rare.

Game Notes
The Tombstone Terrors lost 0 - 4 to the Wild Ones, despite their well-played passing game. The Wild Ones dominated the field and slammed the Terrors with a wave of brutal blocking. Toldrein Oakshade (Wild Ones - Linelf) and Terirelien Longstrider (Wild Ones - Wardancer) both injured Boney Backstaber (Tombstone Terrors - Skeleton), who promptly regenerated both wounds. Boney Backstaber is the first player to suffer a Casualty Result from Blocking twice in one game. The undead attempted a mobile running game, but were hampered by an unusual number of failed attempts to go all out down the pitch. This game set a new attendance record of 88,000 screaming Blood Bowl fans.
