Coaches Concentrate On Guard Skill
This heat showed marked effort by the majority of Coaches to acquire the Guard Skill for their team. In this heat Harbingers of Doom and the Chaos Crushers added a second linemen with the skill, and Backwata Bashas, Darktower Slayers, and Wild Ones added their first players with this skill. Guard is emerging as one of the most significant defensive skills in the league. Only the Tombstone Terrors and the Blackwing Bombers lack the skill.

With fancy footwork and lucky ball handling the Darktower Slayers were able to win 2 - 1 against the Harbingers of Doom. The game was played in pouring rain, giving both teams some ball control trouble. The Slayers managed to finesse and pitch the ball into the End Zone at the end of each half. The Harbingers Defense showed strong control, but were not quite able to hold back all of the Orcs.

The Backwata Bashas nearly steamrolled their way to victory and lost narrowly to the cunning and nimble Wild Ones. In the sweltering heat a brutal contest for control of the ball took place. The Wild Ones took fewer casualties than expected despite being knocked all over the field by the brutal and vicious Orcs. The game was pushed into overtime after a nail-biting scoreless second half. Both teams played dirty with a large number of fouls on both sides. The Bashas held the line against the Wild Ones until the final turn of Overtime, when Pussy Longlegs picked up the ball in the Bashas End Zone to score.
