The Tombstone Terrors defeated the Darktower Slayers in the last turn of Overtime play. The game was a tenacious and cruel contest of wills. The Tombstone Terrors wrested control of the ball from the Darktower Slayers in a series of tough scrums. The Darktower Slayers Zegrik Widowmaka, a Black Orc Blocker, killed Rotting Ramses, a Mummy, and inflicted a total of 4 casualties. Narg Rockbreaka, a Blitzer, slew Fornire Derigorn, a Zombie, adding to his tally. A thrown rock during the Overtime Kickoff injured Bonechewer Jones, a Tombstone Terrors Ghoul, and prevented a power play. In the final play of the game the Terrors received the ball from a Throw-In and managed to run into the Slayers Endzone while keeping the orcs engaged in a brutal melee.

The Tombstone Terrors had two Star Player gains. Eternal Deathwalker, a Mummy, gained Block and Tony Toebiter, a Ghoul, gained Block. The terrors raised a new Zombie, Gory Greg.

Darktower Slayers Notes

The Darktower Slayers had two Star Player gains. Zegrik Widowmaka gained Guard and Gresag Ballbreaka gained Block.

The Rage D'Homme were defeated by the Blood River Savages in a difficult and brutal contest. The Rage blocked brutally and gave a difficult time to the Savages. The Blood River Savages used a classic cage formation to move the ball down the field and score the winning Touchdown. The Rage D'Homme was plagued by poor re-roll results. The match was a harrowing contest of determination and brawn.

The Arabica Knights were defeated by Athena's Avengers in a tough rushing match. The Avengers gained an edge in play early in the first half when Burr Grinder, a Lineelf with Guard, was Knocked Out by a Block. During the first half the Knights had a streak of bad luck and the Avengers were able to sweep in and take the ball. Neither team engaged in Dirty Tricks. Despite very aggressive blocking by the Arabica Knights, the Athena's Avengers proved to be very difficult to knock down. Each team scored a touchdown in the second half, but the Knights were unable to make up the 2-point deficit scored by the Avengers in the first half. The Arabica Knights were plagued by staff problems and the primary coach did not report for play. A substitute coach was selected and the team was fined 30,000 Gold Crowns and lost a Fan Factor.

The Harbingers of Doom lost 2 to 1 to the Deathrow Posse in a game plagued with crowd-inflicted injuries. The Posse had four players injured by the crowd, when blocked into the stands. There were a number of casualties inflicted due to Blocking and Dirty Tricking by the Deathrow Posse, helping to insure victory. The Harbingers of Doom had 2 Handicap Results. Warren Zapp, a Harbingers Blitzer, was Buzzed (gaining Frenzy and Jump Up) and Buster Balls, a Posse Blitzer, was out all night on a bender and suffered from Bone Head. During the first half of the game Warren Zapp knocked Buster Balls into the stands, where he suffered an injury resulting in a 1 Armor Value.

The Harbingers of Doom had 2 star player gains. Tad Irving, a Lineman, gained Block and Curly Zonker, a Catcher, gained Block. Tad Irving aged and now suffers from a niggling injury. The Harbingers hired Raymond Bury, a Catcher.

Deathrow Posse Notes

Candyman, a Deathrow Posse Lineman, gained Tackle and suffered a 1 Movement. The Posse sent Swifty into retirement, guaranteeing that he hangs. The Deathrow Posse hired Porno Bob, a Thrower. Buster Balls is expected to miss the next game.

The Wild Ones defeated the Backwata Bashas in a 3rd all time contest, shutting them down 3 to 0. This was the first time the Bashas were shut down by the wily elves, despite the typical Bashas bashing. The Backwata Bashas rolled a Doom and Gloom handicap, cutting the Wild Ones re-rolls in half. Sieran Highhair, a Wild Ones Lineelf, and Sleazy, a Backwata Bashas Goblin were both ejected for fouling. The wood elves were able nimbly run the ball downfield for 3 Touchdowns. The orcs rallied late in the game with a solid cage, but were unable to score.

The Skaven Srewballz leaped and dodged to victory against the Chaos Crushers. Late in the first half, the Skaven, after receiving the ball, used chain blocking to position Shifty Garbageater, a Gutter Runner. Shifty then sprinted to a single turn touchdown. The Crushers had strong blocking and knocked out a number of Skewballz, leaving the Skaven down to 5 players on the field at the end of regulation time. When the game went into overtime, the Skaven Skrewballz were only able to field 8 players. Despite strong ball handling and maintaining control of the ball for most of the game the Chaos Crushers were unable to prevent the Skaven Skrewballz from scoring on turn 2 of sudden death overtime.

The Skaven Skrewballz had 3 star player gains. Peyton Skabbing JR., a Thrower, Shifty Garbageater, a Gutter Runner, and Bugger McFly, a Gutter Runner, all gained Block. The Skrewballz hired a new Linerat, Vomit Belcher. Bugger McFly suffered from aging and picked up a niggling injury. Fester Neebiter, a Linerat, is expected to miss the next game.
