The Blood Bath Continues
The heat was marked by an escalation in deaths with 7 players slain during the heat. 18 deaths have been suffered this season, with the season not yet completed. There were a total of 9 deaths in the last season. The season is not yet over and the death rate has more than doubled. There can be no doubt that the NWL is putting the blood back into Blood Bowl. (See the article below calling for more deaths that foreshadowed the heat.)

Body Bags Cry For Help
Capitol City
In a recent plea to the bloodlust of the Bloodbowl community, owner and CEO of 3B's Inc (Better Body Bags Inc.) appealed to fans, coaches and players alike.
'We've had a pretty tough year. As the official body bag company of Bloodbowl, it's been hard going, what with the Orcs and Chaos not getting hurt and the Skaven trying to score score score and ignoring their other options. My son even thought of spiking the Apothecaries' lounge coffee at the local stadium. We put a stop to that pretty quick, but I understand where his heart was,' said 'Gypsum' Jim Hennings, owner of 3B's.
'As the season has dragged on with very few deaths, the company has hoped for a major crowd riot, a local disaster, anything to spark an influx of orders. Their usual bread and butter gone, they have turned to nursing homes and local hospitals, but say it's just not the same.'
'We've designed a superior product. It can withstand all kinds of abuse. You have a mostly liquefied corpse? We've got your bag! Sqished flat by a tandem of Black Orcs? We've got a patented 'Flatbody Retrieval System' that is designed specifically for the problems with flattened corpses. No folding necessary! These local places, the hospitals, the Funeral homes, they don't understand our product. One of the childrens hospitals looked like it was going to be a good customer, then we found out they were triple dipping in our large-sized 'Ginormous' bags, designed for Chaos warriors and Black Orcs!'
Hennings put out a statement yesterday calling for blood. 'We'd like to see some REAL blood this next round. If the games aren't going the way you like 'em, take matters into your own hands. Let's get a good riot or three going! Then they'll HAVE to play our way, won't they?'
Hennings started 3B's over thirty years ago, having been spurned by the league with his Halfling team ideas. Mostly using slave labor from his earlier enterprise, a gypsum mine in Southern Ulalea, he wanted to field three Halfling teams in the early days of the New World League. With the ban on both Big Guys and Halflings, his route to Bloodbowl stardom was pretty much finished and he soon seized upon his Body bag idea after a disaster at his largest mine killed 465 employees and shut down production for over a week.
