The Skaven Skrewballz were clobbered by the Chaos Crushers in a zero to three rout played in the Pouring Rain. The Skrewballz used a new tactic that involved swarming and fouling to no avail as the Crushers marched down the field and scored almost at will. The only highlight for the Skrewballz was a Long Pass by Snot Flicker (a Thrower) over the Crushers line that was nearly intercepted. Both teams hit record highs for Dirty Tricks in one game.

The Skaven Skrewballz had one star player gain with Norman (a Storm Vermin) gaining Mighty Blow. The word from the team is that both Norman and Speedy Katpoker (a Gutter Runner) were asked to leave the team due to Niggling Injuries. Mange Sawtooth was hired as a Linerat.

Chaos Crushers Notes

The Chaos Crushers had two star player gains with Morgan Claw (a Beastman) gaining Guard and Souleater Grimm (a Chaos Warrior) growing a Claw. Some say that the weight of the claw that has made Souleater a little clumsier because he has lost -1 AG. Titus Gore (a Chaos Warrior) is expected to miss the next game with a Smashed Hip.

Athena's Avengers were defeated by the Deathrow Posse in a scrum dominated match. The Avengers had some extra training and got a Re-Roll for this match. Felicia Felony (a Human Catcher) got a little rowdy beforehand and ended up being put in solitary confinement and missed the match. Scary Mary and Handsome Jack (both Human Catchers) claimed I Am The Greatest and refused to set foot on the pitch at the same time. The Avengers had trouble getting out and staying out of the KO'd box. For the second half there were no less then three Avengers in the KO'd box at one time.

Athena's Avengers had no star player gains. The teams Fan Factor stayed the same and all players are expected to play in the next match.

Deathrow Posse Notes

The Deathrow Posse had two star player gains with DJ Zero Gee (a Blitzer) gaining Mighty Blow and Skank Blitzkin (a Thrower) gaining +1 ST. Scary Mary's (a Catcher) sentence of death was executed and the team convicted Road Rage (a Catcher) to replace her. The team bought a Re-Roll.

The Tombstone Terrors defeated the Darktower Slayers in yet another overtime slugfest. The Terrors won the coin toss and chose to kick off to the Slayers. For the first half the Terrors held back the Slayers and prevented them from scoring with the help of an Interception by Skinny Backstabber (a Skeleton). The Terrors received in the second half and scored quickly, too quickly some said. The Slayers tied things up late in the second half pushing things to overtime. The Terrors won the coin toss in overtime and chose to receive the ball. In overtime the Terrors offence prevailed scoring quickly again to capture the win.

Tombstone Terrors Notes

The Tombstone Terrors had two star player gains with Horrorhotep (a Mummy) gaining Block and Krudding Kramer (a Zombie) learning Dirty Player. The team hired Hideous Hyde (a Ghoul) and donated 20K to the National Cemetery Association.

Darktower Slayers Notes

The Darktower Slayers had no star player gains. Rizag da Rippa (Black Orc Blocker) retired due to a damaged back. The team hired Vazgar da Stabba (a Black Orc Blocker).

The Wild Ones defeated the Blood River Savages in a costly pounding. On the very first turn first an Orc failed to pick up the ball and then an Elf failed a Block and ended up in the KO'd Box. Both teams turned to what they are good at, the Elves scored early and often and the Orcs knocked their opponent off the pitch. The Wild Ones could only field five players for the final drive. The Elves suffered numerous Casualties including a Fractured Skull and a Serious Concussion. Two Orcs, Nee Kappa (a Lineorc) and Tuf Skul (a Blitzer), were caught fouling and thrown off the pitch.

The Wild Ones had one star player gain with Dirtii Dandylion (a Catcher) gaining Block. Slinky Treemoss (a Catcher) and Lorellon Branchbreaker (a Lineelf) are both expected to miss the next game due to their head injuries. The team hired Nut Ironbranch for the Wardancer position.

The Harbingers of Doom defeated the Backwata Bashas in a tit-for-tat, rough 'em up and try to out number your opponent match. Dim (a Black Orc Blocker) smuggled Knuckleduster onto the field giving him Mighty Blow for this match. The Backwata Bashas also Palmed the Coin and choose to receive. It was back and forth with both teams losing players until the Harbingers scored their second touchdown halfway through the second half.

Game Notes

The Arabica Knights defeated the Rage D' Homme in overtime. The game was held across the pond in the Old World in an attempt to showcase the NWL and its high-speed offence without Big Guys. The Crowd was ugly from the start, Invading the Pitch on the first kickoff. The scrum that quickly developed angered them even more. They soon took to taunting the Rage's darker looking player and throwing bananas onto the pitch resulting in many failed dodges for both teams. The Knights suffered from Morley's Revenge with Prince Mocha, Burr Grinder (both Lineelves), and Master Howie (a Lion Warrior) all being absent for most of the second half. Things went downhill for the Rage when Gin Thea (a Catcher) dropped the ball when she was thrown from the pitch for Dirty Tricking. The Knights then pushed the game to overtime where they received and scored first.

Arabica Knights Notes

The Arabica Knights had no star player gains. The team hired Count Crema as a Lineelf.

Rage D'Homme Notes

Rage D' Homme had no star player gains. Fille San and Branka Vich (both Linewomen) have retired. The team hired Sane-Lee as a Linewoman.
