The game began with a pitch invasion that left players from both teams stunned and mildly injured. The Crushers badly mauled a number of players, but was unable to inflict a significant wound. The Blackwing Bombers made the Crushers work hard, despite the fact that they could only field 7 players at the start of the game. Despite their energetic efforts the Bombers were shutdown by the Crushers, failing to score even one touchdown.

The Wild Ones beat the Backwata Bashas in a hard fought and bloody contest. Both teams engaged in a number of Dirty Tricks. Tympyre Leafeater (Wild Ones) was ejected for Un-sportsman-like Conduct near the end of the first half. Smelly (Backwata Bashas) was slain by Stelogalos Stoutree in fashion some commentators claim involved a boot to the throat. Several casualties and a substantial amount of rough play punctuated the game.

Two Backwata Bashas acquired new skills. Sloppy earned Tackle and Grody gained Block. The Backwata Bashas hired Dirty, a replacement Blitzer

Wild Ones Notes

The Wild Ones had three skill increases; Tympyre Leafeater gained Dodge, Mylatia Treelover acquired Pass Block, and Toldrien Oakshade picked up Block. The Wild Ones also brought Tarla Leafblower, a Thrower, up from the minors.

The Dartower Slayers narrowly defeated the tenacious Stygian Abyss in Sudden Death Overtime. In a difficult contest, the Abyss spent most of the game deftly avoiding contact with the brutal Slayers. Raavy Darkwall (Stygian Abyss) made a key interception at the end of the second half, preventing the Darktower Slayers from scoring. Despite their successful evasion tactics the Stygian Abyss suffered a number of injuries and a fatality due to failed dodge attempts. Illblade Horror failed to dodge and was killed by a Slayer tackle. Targ Bonebreaka (Darktower Slayers) made the winning touchdown. The game was a grueling contest of agility against sinew.

The Skaven Screwballz scurried to victory against the Harbingers of Doom. In an exciting pass-oriented game the Skaven Skreballz ran and passed their way to victory in a fast moving game against the Harbingers of Doom. Larry Zonker (Harbingers of Doom) was ejected early on for committing a foul. Despite this the Referee spent most of his time watching the Skrewballz. A Handicap Roll imposed this special scrutiny from the Referee. Each team inflicted one significant casualty upon the other.

Harbingers of Doom Notes

The Harningers had no changes.
