Conference Winner
The two teams in each conference with the highest number of points play a final match to determine who becomes the Conference Champion and gains possession of the conference Championship Cup. In the event of a tie after overtime a shootout is required. The points are awarded as follows: 5 points are awarded for a win, 3 points are awarded for a tie, and 1 point is awarded for a loss. The Conference Champion receives +1 Fan Factor, possession of the appropriate Championship Cup representing a re-roll, and an additional 20,000 Gold Crowns. The conference Champions face off in the New World League Blood Bowl Cup Championship Match. In the event that there are 4 or more conferences, a semi-final round must be played and no additional awards are received in the last match, which determines the Blood Bowl participants.
Tied Conference Winners
In the event of a tie within a conference the total number of points for games within the conference are compared and the team with the highest total is declared the victor. If a tie still remains, then the number of wins between the tied teams are compared head to head. The team with the greatest number of head to head wins is declared the champion. If the event that a tie still exists the total number of touchdowns and casualties combined is compared and the team with the highest total is the victor. Should a tie still exist the final tiebreaker is a playoff match for the championship.
The NWL Blood Bowl Cup
This is the biggest Blood Bowl game of the year in the New World. This game is attended by extra fans and each team adds 2 dice when determining the gate. The winner of this prestigious game receives 1d2 Fan Factor, the coveted NWL Cup that permits 1 re-roll per match, and an additional 50,000 Gold Crowns. The loser of the match receives an additional 10,000 Gold Crowns. The match payoffs are determined as usual.
Forfeiture
Should a team coach forfeit a game by failing to appear for a game and not have rescheduled 24 or more hours prior, the team will be fined 30,000 Gold Crowns and lose 1 Fan Factors. A substitute coach will be selected to coach the match.
Witness
Each game must be witnessed by a third person, who is familiar with the rules and records game results on a log sheet. The witness must keep track of player experience, the turns that touchdowns, casualties, and fouls take place along with player responsible. The witness will record number of fans, match payoffs, and the like. The witness should also record any unusual events such as Pitch Invasions, etc.
Dropped Teams
If a team is dropped or abandoned by a coach, it will be managed by proxy until the end of the season. A dropped team must suffer at least one Forfeiture Penalty.
Scheduling
The league schedule is divided into two rounds of play. Each round of play consists of a set of match ups within the conference. The commission will randomly determine the match ups and set the schedule. Coaches are then expected to contact each other and adjust the schedule is needed. Heats may be moved as needed. Each heat must be completed before the next is begun. Date changes must be entered on the web site. Coaches are responsible for updating the schedule and obtaining a wtiness. Dates can be changed and match ups resolved as needed each heat. All teams must have completed the round of play before any teams play in the next round. A coach must provide a minimum of 24 hours prior to rescheduling or forfeit the game.
Numbered Chits
If a coach uses a numbering scheme other than 1 - 16, the coach must supply numbered chits for MVP determination and resolving other random player results.
NWL Pitch
The NWL Pitch has a 1 square deep End Zone and is 26 squares by 15. NWL pitches are usually made from felt painted with paint pens and use one and a half inch squares.
